Le Creuset Wok Review

As the name suggests, Le Creuset is French and the Le Creuset wok is designed and made in Northern France. Le Creuset has very strict control on their products as all items are hand finished and subject to the most stringent quality check.

Le Creuset offers a wide range of woks with different colours and materials. Most are made of cast iron, which retains heat like no other materials. The wok has a flat bottom that sits firmly on any surface and an extremely big cooking area.

Whether you are cooking meat or vegetable, the food is always cooked to perfection as they are able to retain it’s flavour and moisture due to the nature of it’s material. This magical wok is able to achieve this because heat is absorbed slowly and then spreads steadily and gently throughout the wok. The food cooks evenly and you can smell the aroma even from afar.

Another great feature of the Le Creuset wok is that it is vitrified and therefore does not absorb the odours. And cleaning the wok is a real pleasure. No matter how dirty the wok is, it washes straightaway. You don’t have to soak any item and so washing the wok is as easy as rinsing you hands.

A point to note is that the Le Creuset wok is very heavy. Then again, you don’t expect anything that is made of cast iron to be light. However some people like to use heavy wok and this is a bonus especially if you are cooking a great amount.

All in all, the Le Creuset wok is great value for money. It is durable, the food tastes great and it looks stylish. What more can you ask for?
